A Season of Making and Giving

Many of us associate this time of year with making gifts for the ones we love and care about. As well as for those in need that we don't even know. My Quilt Guild makes quilts all year long for one of the local city's foster care programs, especially around this time. Community outreach happens in every town across the world, and we are so thankful that we can also donate to various organizations in need.
However you choose to celebrate your Holidays, we wish you much joy.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Dora, the fabulous Orange Dot quilt shop and website owner, has made a video for the Danish Star. Click on the star to watch. It's a perfect last-minute project for the Holidays using up your scrap fabrics.

“Textile Talks” features weekly presentations and panel discussions from the International Quilt Museum, Quilt Alliance, San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, Studio Art Quilt Associates, and Surface Design Association. Each Wednesday, the programs are presented live on Zoom at 2 p.m. Eastern (adjust for your time zone). Attendees are tuning in from all over the world to take advantage of this free weekly series, sponsored by a generous team of industry leaders and viewers.

Frocktails Anyone?

Have you heard of Frocktails? Well if you haven't take a look at how much fun Madalynne's Frocktails Holiday event was! They happen all over the world. There is probably one near you!

Madalynne's 3rd annual FROCKTAILS! Local sewists and hobbyists gathered on Saturday, December 10th, for a fun night of cocktails, light bites, swag bags, nail bar, photo booth, a fashion show, and ooh-ing and ah-ing over fellow sewists me-made. It was a great incentive to make your holiday attire! G. Guests didn't have to make their outfits to attend. There were other fun surprises throughout the evening, like giving away a PFAFF sewing machine to one lucky attendee.
