Wool Mats Put to Good Use!
Writer, editor, creative director, and lifelong maker Melanie Falick uses her wool pressing mats for more than pressing. While preparing for her upcoming Season 11 KnitStars class, she is using ten inter-connected wool pressing mats to block her swatches and keep her samples organized and in sight, so she can make creative and technical decisions.
Melanie says, "The mats are perfect for my needs right now. It's easy to pin out my swatches either wet or dry. I can steam them with my Oliso iron and when I have less going on, I can separate the mats into smaller units for blocking smaller projects. One mat is perfect for a pair of socks or a cowl. Four or more mats will work for an adult sweater or shawl, depending on size and style."
