A Book We Love
ART CRAFT COLOR - Lisa Solomon
Dive into a vibrant exploration of creativity where art meets craft in this stunning visual journey curated by celebrated artist Lisa Solomon. ART CRAFT COLOR bridges fine art and practical making through 20 eye-catching, approachable projects. Organized by color—from delicate pink paper flowers to bold red textile creations and zesty orange culinary delights—this beautifully photographed book serves as both an inspiring coffee table piece and a hands-on guide, featuring a diverse group of artists whose work defies traditional categorization.
More than a project book, ART CRAFT COLOR explores the emotional and psychological impact of color through Solomon's insightful essays on color theory and artistic practice. Perfect for creators at any level, this rainbow-inspired collection invites you to infuse your life with purpose-driven creativity, embracing the transformative power of color across multiple media—from textiles and paper to painting and beyond. Whether you're seeking inspiration or practical projects, Solomon's thoughtful curation offers a fresh perspective on how color can brighten your creative practice and everyday life.

We're heading to the beautiful Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show this summer—and we'd love to see you there! This inspiring event is known for incredible workshops, a whole lot of creative energy, and of course, the gorgeous outdoor quilt show.
Join me and Leslie Tucker Jenison for one of our workshops in beautiful Sisters, Oregon. Oliso is the iron sponsor and we have some great tips and techniques to show in all of our classes. Our podcast friend Brandy Maslowski will also be teaching 5 days of classes so be sure to check out the full line up for July 6 - 10th. Plus—you can stay a little longer to enjoy the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show at the end of the week!
A 'Bright' Product Feature
The Oliso M3 Pro Mini Project Iron features a "ProLight" LED headlight designed to illuminate fabrics for precise, detailed work, particularly in sewing and quilting. The light automatically activates when the iron is placed in a horizontal, working position and turns off when upright.
For Charity
Toni Smith a.k.a QuilToni is celebrating her 50th birthday by raising $50K for Starlight Children's Foundation, a cause that is deeply personal to her. As a former hospitalized child herself, she understands how much hope, joy and comfort Starlight brings to kids facing long hospital stays.
This milestone birthday is about delivering happiness to kids who need it most. Please consider donating today and help Toni make a lasting impact. Every dollar truly makes a difference!
Check out the Starlight collection where 100% of the proceeds are donated to the Starlight campaign!
Where next?
We are back to the East Coast in early April for the AQS Quilt Week in Connecticut. Please come say hello if you'll be there.
The Fiber+Fabric Craft Festival (f+f) is an upcoming major multi-craft event in the Chicago area. This inaugural festival is designed to bring together creators, brands, and hobbyists across a wide variety of crafts. Oliso is the official iron sponsor for the workshops so if you take a class you'll be using our irons! Stop by our booth to say hello and try a make and take project with Stacey Lee Creative.
